  • Mineral sunscreens contain mineral ingredients like zinc oxide & titanium dioxide sit on the top layer of skin & reflect and scatter UV rays. Chemical sunscreens contain organic compounds like octocrylene & avobenzone absorb UV rays on the skin.

  • Mineral sunscreens work as soon as you apply onto skin, but because they sit directly on the skin may rub or sweat off more easily than chemical sunscreens that take at least 15min to properly absorb, meaning skin may not be immediately protected.

  • 100% mineral based sunscreen can leave a purple or white cast on some skin tones. To help the formula blend into the skin, work in small sections and apply in circular motions. Rub well until formula is no longer visible.
